After the huge success of our Christmas Candlelit Concert this year the choirs return to work in the rehearsal room from 8th January 2025, and at our first meeting of the new year we'll be opening our doors to anyone who might be interested in joining us as a new singer, and would like to find out more about what we do.
At a similar event last January we were delighted to welcome seven new faces and we're hoping for similar success this time.
For the mixed voices of the Surrey Hills Chamber Choir, it's on Wednesday 8th January, 7.30pm start at United Reform Church, 83 Portsmouth Road, Guildford, Surrey, GU2 4BS
For the women's voices of the Surrey Hills Singers, it's on Monday 13th January, 10.30am start, at Ewhurst Baptist Church, The Street, Ewhurst, Surrey, GU6 7QA
The format for the chamber choir evening will be simple. We'll start with our usual 30 minute warm-up to blow away the Christmas cobwebs, and then we'll all start learning together the repertoire for our next performance which will be our 20th Anniversary Concert at St.Catherine's School in Bramley, Surrey on Saturday 10th May. As well as new recruits we're also hoping to see quite a few past members who are coming back into our ranks to help us celebrate the anniversary, so it should be a busy and fun evening.
If you can't make it on 8th or 13th but you're interested in finding out more, never fear. We'll be in the same places every week from January onwards so just arrange to come along on another day.
